Boman Editing is a team of writers, editors, and designers that specializes in public health and environmental policy. We help academics, clinicians, nonprofit organizations, and businesses share their research findings with those who can use them most.

We offer a full suite of services with streamlined, proactive project management. Lead editor Allie Boman provides writing and editing services, and oversees well-vetted, experienced subcontractors. Allie ensures the quality of all aspects of the team’s work.

About Allie Boman

In 2019, I began assisting a seasoned editor who serves the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Helping her has been like apprenticing with a master alchemist. I continue to learn as I serve alongside her as a writer, copyeditor, proofreader, and project manager.

Separately, Boman Editing has grown out of a desire to serve additional clients and to specialize in public health and environmental policy. In 2022, I began sharing my workload with subcontractors, who help me offer additional specialities—and enable me to say yes to more projects!

My husband and I live in the Chicago area with our four rambunctious kids. In addition to writing and editing, I enjoy making jewelry, playing piano, and tromping around in the woods alone or with my family.
